Sustainability
sustainability is important to us
While it is virtually impossible to be fully sustainable in our lives and businesses, we do strive to be as mindful as we can about the footprint we as a business leave on this earth. We take extra steps in our choices and actions to waste less and source as much as we can as locally as we are able - even when that means less profit margins. Here are a few examples:
During the growing season (March-November), we source as much of our flowers as we can from local farms that use less chemicals and much less travel resources to get the flowers in our hands
We value and shop at farms that hold similar sustainability values and who pay their workers fair wages
We do not utilize toxic floral foam in our creations, even in larger installations.
Most of our floral waste (stems, foliage, etc) goes to a composting service
We do not keep a large amount of product in our shop so that we are able to vastly reduce how many flowers go bad waiting to be used
We do not use plastic wrap on deliveries or pickup items. Our protective wraps are either paper or a recyclable limestone product
